Com.It.Es. Detroit will be sponsoring a Mass at 10 am  on Sunday, November 12, 2023  at San Francesco Church in Clinton Township.
Coffee and cookies will be served after Mass.
This Mass is in honor of St. Francesca Cabrini, Patron of Immigrants.  Her actual feast day is November 13.
St. Francesca Cabrini was the Italian born founder of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart and the first United States citizen to be canonized in 1946.   She was born in Sant’Angelo Lodignano, in the province of Lodi, in the  Lombardia region in 1850 and died in Chicago in 1917.   The St. Frances Cabrini Shrine is in New York where the remains of Mother Cabrini are kept.
Mother Cabrini established 67 houses  in such cities as Chicago, Buenos Aires, Paris, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro.  She also founded schools, hospitals and orphanages.
We hope you will be able to join us in this first Mass being offered by Com.It.Es. Detroit in honor of a very special Italian-American woman.
